Nicola Cruz and Rhythm Section is a match made in heaven. Bradley Zero’s Peckham-based, modern jazz and dance music label welcomes a master of groove and mood. Subtropique is inspired by Cruz’s Ecuadorian roots and leans heavily on his first love: percussion. Each of the tracks fuses traditional drumming and swampy, electronic polyrhythms with a palette of organic, globally-sourced sounds, vocals and rolling basslines for the floor. Pure dance music in the most literal sense of the word. Rhythms you feel and sounds to take your mind far away.
