Goat (JP) drummer Takafumi Okada lands on L.I.E.S. for a quick-fire mess of bitrate crusher experimental techno. His Manisdron moniker marks a stylistic turn from the percussive post-rock-meets-jazz of his band’s output, but the overriding approach holds true to the exploratory nature. You might think of a post-punk Skinny Puppy on ‘Lfad’ and ‘Alphabet Of Spring’ — the synth arpeggios sharp enough to cut glass — while ‘Crossing’ daubs a spacey lead with a hardcore thump.
