Since 1988, acid, house and techno veteran Paul Wise (AKA Placid) has been collecting vinyl and unearthing the best in the genres. We’re Going Deep is a way for him to keep pushing his sound forward and to share the joy he gets from buying records himself. On the label’s second release, Dubliner Cignol goes deep and melodic on ‘Late Night Traverse’ and new talent Armec contributes a stepping, bass-heavy electro hybrid. For the B-side, a well-known purveyor of 303 sounds, Jared Wilson, crafts an eerie spin on raw, hardware acid. It balances tough and soft elements in fine style before Bristol-based Gilbert brings things full-circle with a dreamy and melodic, late-night roller.
