Gatunki

Bern-based Italian sound artist and producer Saele Valese debuts on NOTON with an electroacoustic wave labour of love. Crafted in three European cities over a five year period, it’s testimony to Valese’s steadfast vision that IVIC has such a consistent tone, whether he’s nose-diving into microtonal drones or planting a seedling of rhythm. The four-part suite ‘You Cannot See Me From Where I Look At Myself’ gives off the atmosphere of a slowed-and-stripped-down rave track, the nooks between each kick and snare elongating to a blissful ambient vista. Meanwhile, the movements of ‘Horse The Color Of Rust’ tread more aggressive ground with mighty industrial stomps.
