Originally released in 2010 and reissued in 2020, Joshua Abrams delivered his sonic manifesto with his debut Natural Information, and with the benefit of hindsight, it’s incredible how prophetic an LP it is within the avant-jazz world. A defiant cry to take things slowly in an accelerated reality, ebullient tones ring out across these deeply psychedelic soundscapes, twangy with guimbri and North African bass lute chimes and a properly meditative approach to rhythm and percussion.
