Russian artist Kovyazin D is back on Craigie Knowes, after first appearing on one of the label’s Various Artist releases in 2017. This time, with a full EP, he explores the full depth and range of his talents for the vital Scottish label. Last August is tough, heavy and post-apocalyptic. Opener ‘Headache’ sets the tone with crunching drums and the kind of drama you might hear in an action movie OST. ‘Rage’ and ‘Minimum For Maximum’ put an acid twist on the sound.
