Damian Lazarus’ label Crosstown Rebels follow up their much loved Ÿuma release from 2017. ‘Smek,’ the Tunisian duo’s hypnotising folk song gets the remix treatment from none other than Ricardo Villalobos, minimal artist SIS and MoM. There’s a percussive masterclass from Villalobos and MoM delivers a beautiful, slow-building downtempo mix from the other end of the spectrum. SIS’ remix sits perfectly in between, completing a package which has something for each phase of the night.
