The link between Berlin superclub Berghain and the hustle and bustle of Lagos, Nigeria, isn’t immediately apparent. But give Emeka Ogboh field recording equipment and a blank slate to experiment on, and the connections appear. Ogboh captures the electric energy of downtown Lagos and turns it into the kind of avant-garde, cavernous sound art which adorns the Berghain exhibition spaces.
