Try to keep up; John Dwyer’s long-running project is called Osees now, and they’ve crafted a scorched earth garage rock-meets-metal triumph in Metamorphosed. True enough, it’s a blinder of a rock record, full of screeching guitars, heart-quickening drums, proggish organs — and more than a touch of sci-fi atmospherics. The numbers show that this is their third LP in 2020, so it’s a modern marvel where they find the energy.
