Four pillars of electronic music on one plate, released by another pillar in the legendary XL Recordings. Drum & Bass hero Jonny L’s ‘This Time’, ‘Piper’ and ‘2 Of Us’ came out across three separate 12”s in 1996 and ‘97, when jungle was at the peak of its power. The remixes are collected onto one EP and reissued for the first time since, and they sound as fresh as ever; not surprising when you consider the who’s who of dance music involved. Carl Craig added his delicate, emotive techno touch with two takes of ‘This Time’, Grooverider got techy and Photek was in lush, proto-liquid territory.
