The way that Kettel builds his tracks from twinkling, organic-sounding tones gives this record a charmingly breezy quality, one that welcomes you into a world of skittering breakbeats and lackadaisical downtempo grooves. Beat-free entries like ‘Mollusc media experience’ are used to cleanse the palate from time to time. Imagine cross-breeding Lemon Jelly with the Rephlex Records catalogue and you might end up with something like Cenny Crush.
