Roland hardware fanatic Andreas Tilliander, aka TM404, returns with his second Kontra-Muzik LP under this alias. The self-titled first album is something of a modern classic in dubby electronic circles, and Syra more than lives up to the legacy. Mostly recorded during a Summer stay in Berlin, Tilliander used a more stripped back set-up compared to his usual arsenal of 303s, but has perfected the art of making his gear sing. Syra houses an array of slowly-evolving acid dub and deep techno trips which could only be TM404.
