Paul Hierophant conjures up Part 3 of his Utopian Dystopias series on Exalt Records - six original trax of hardware music backed with remixes from Plant43 and Carl Finlow. It’s a particularly minimal but subtly atmospheric collection of analog electro, acid and braindance tropes for the purists in the scene. Fixated on themes of space like the preceding entries in the series as tracks like ‘Saturn’ and ‘Martian Engines’ suggest, there’s a strong dystopian slant to the atmospherics which colour this collection. Analog fiends will particularly dig the modulated 303 lines weaving in and out of many of the trax within.
