Ugandan vocalist Swordman Kitala teams up with a host of killer guest producers for his stylistically diverse debut EP. Kimbalagala begins with a hand from Tom Blip’s steady digitised dancehall capabilities on the title track, a sonic imprint echoed by the fuzzy hiss of percussion on the K-Lone production ‘Malanga Ja’. ‘Heat Flexx’ is the outlier of the pack, as O’Flynn and Ekhe add a dash of hardcore UK funky to the mix.
