The first collaboration between Circadian Rhythms artist THUGWIDOW and Pure Life Records’ Bruised Skies wears its heart on its sleeve. The title, Requiem For A Sesh, vocalizes the wide-eyed, rave nostalgia that follows, as the five junglist contortions take you to a muddy field near the M25. Opener, ‘Epic Questing,’ captures the project’s symbiotic chemistry and freewheeling spirit. Its 4x4, 90s house beat seamlessly morphs into a breakbeat tearout and back again. From there it’s surgically-sliced polyrhythms, warehouse-ready basslines and euphoric top lines until the lights come up.
