Jerome Derradji’s Still Music imprint presents label off-shoot Still Techno, a decision geared towards welcoming into the fold the more esoteric but no less vital voices of techno. The first of these voices comes from Detroit legend Mark Flash, who opens up his Alkebulan EP with live ritual drumming before accompanying the ceremony with a slow cacophony of off-kilter electro textures. More surprises are in store with ‘Centraal Station’, a straight-up banger made by the slightest of electronic means.
