Pillow Queen is the duo of D.Tiffany and Vani-T, who first appeared with the inaugural 12” for Berlin’s Radiant Love label. They now christen another label in Delicate Records, this time channelling the enigmatic persona of Joan Of Arc into Burns Me Up. The title track, Pillow Queen’s battle cry, goes straight for the jugular, with a barrage of acid-tinged fire hurtling along. ‘Resurrection,’ too, is fast-paced and full of life, a stark contrast to the other two tracks on the 12”. Providing welcome time-outs, ‘Salvation’ and ‘Submission’ are slow-burning, dubwise chuggers for the twilight hours.
