Scanner’s The Signal Of A Signal was initially released on CD in December 2019, as part of a charity box set. Interest in the album was so high that it deservedly gets a full vinyl release. It’s easy to see why - the LP houses a diverse set of electronic works, ranging from an abandoned film score to a ballet soundtrack and chamber techno. It’s an intensely beautiful and vulnerable work which could only be Scanner. Guitars notes stretch into oblivion, synth lines drift in-and-out of focus, and echo trails of ambience channel the feelings of loss.
