Amos Childs of Jabu and Sam Barrett of Khan & Neek, both modern Bristolian underground legends in their own right, team up as O$VMV$M again for another hit of trip-hop-indebted, gossamer-wispy tracks of bass weightlessness. ‘Phase 4’ kicks off at an uncommonly spacey register, all low-key bass swells and communication terminal bleeps, while ‘White Linen’ propels itself at the pace of a dub tune, as a lightly rhythmic piano chord traces out a barely tethered rhythm.
