The Trilogy Tapes’ peerless mining of the experimental, electronic underground takes in a debut record from London producer Odd Lust. With a heady blend of spring-loaded electro and skeletal acid, Odd Lust taps into the unconventional language of Will Bankhead’s label, filling his tracks with quirks from the road less travelled. If ‘Planet Is Transparent’ hurtles along at the edge of control, the title track moves with a measured step, its radiant melody doing the talking. ‘Vocation’ surges with acid ecstasy, percussive whips and another mind-bending ray of light above.
