Sonic shapeshifters Martyn and Om Unit are a match made in heaven. Both have been moving with the times since ‘05 and ‘10 respectively, continually reinventing themselves whilst leaving a trademark thread through all their work. The Passenger is a tribute to both Om Unit’s home city, Bristol, and techstep innovators Nico and Ed Rush. Its hybrid tracks include a techy 140BPM roller, signature Om Unit slow-fast rhythms, rude basslines, breakbeats and some classic Martyn sampling. As you would expect on an ode to Bristol dance music culture, there’s no shortage of bass.
