Famously particular about other producers reworking or remixing his work, it’s a curious occurrence that Muslimgauze’s work should fall to Anders Peterson for some re-tooling. That said, Peterson’s A.P Reworks Two does an excellent job of preserving the deeply psychedelic aspects of the late Bryn Jones, across the body-reverberating drones and wry hand percussion Jones eminently favoured. ‘Citadel in Nightlight I-IV’ alone ignites the sound of Musimgauze as staunchly ritualistic music, a fitting tribute if ever there was one.
