Gondwana Records welcome Manchester-based, future-facing jazz troupe GoGo Penguin for another instalment of their 7” Series. Lifted from the sessions of their first LP, the alternative versions of ‘Last Words’ and ‘Fanfares’ features the group’s heady blend of jazz, dance and classical influences. The former sees a meditative piano explore the sonic boundaries between a Radiohead-inflected drum pattern, while the latter takes its sweet time, mulling on melancholic notes before opening up into a flurry of energy.
