Panoram’s singular style falls somewhere in-between ambient, synth-pop and Italo Disco. He somehow makes disparate influences and peculiar vocals gel into something fresh and unique, brimming with the multi-culti vibe of Brooklyn. He, real name Raffaele Martirani, is honing in on a specific sound with both his own music and his label Wandering Eye. At once retro and futuristic, it tugs on your heartstrings in unexpected ways. Anova displays the full range of possibilities within: two ambient cuts, one slow, Giorgio Moroder-esque chug and ‘Christnet’, which sounds like Rustie in a downtempo mood.
