Veteran producer Geins’t Naït teams up with living experimental electronics legend Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner for heady loops and concrète tones. GN / Scanner neatly summarises each producer’s life-long work, melding and fusing in often surprising temporal shifts. Guttural low end synths trawl the depths on ‘63’, reaching an abstracted dubby space with quietly accelerating samples, while a deconstructed trip-hop beat ploughs a furrow through the clipped dialogue of ‘Slo1’.
