Rephlex mainstay Jodey Kendrick releases another disc of time-honoured, AFX-style, brainy acid with the handily-titled H120 Acid. Kendrick puts a jagged edge on the beat of this EP’s title track, pairing its climbing bass with metallic perforations and an electro beat, a sonic signature carried across into the noir-ish synth mist of ‘NSJ 20’. A touch of the envelope dial sets the high end of ‘120 Heidance Arvm1’ popping. Highly recommended from a master of the craft.
