House outsider Jared Wilson draws a line between Detroit and Cornwall on his Seeing Is Forgetting EP. ‘Sea Friends (Lowtide Mix)’ has equal parts acid romp and chill-out DNA in its buoyant synth lead, and ‘Seeing Is Forgetting’ turns the dial towards the lighter end with its gently melancholic melody. ‘Submerge the Ship’ and ‘Yogacamp’ come off as more sinister, groove-driven counterpoints, all submerged low-end and heavier on the dissonance.
