After a few releases dwelling in and around chart stardom, E3 AF sees grime vanguard and OG boy in da corner Dizzee Rascal making the leap back from LA to his East London roots. But the return doesn’t come without some lessons learnt in infectious production. The Chip-featuring ‘L.L.L.L’ pays homage to sun-kissed trap optimism — “Love, Life, Live, Large”, the chorus tells us — before cracking open a grotty grime bass swing. ‘Body Loose’ similarly plays with transatlantic tones, as Dizzee delivers his funkiest bars since ‘Dance Wiv Me’ over a Latin Pop beat.
