Welsh label Touched Revolutions ups the ante with Keiss’ Urban Utopia — and indeed, it’s a disc of very clever electronica and well-executed braindance packed with rhythmic experiments without sacrificing pure grooves. ‘An Empty Playground’ flits between form and abstraction, disrupting its constant beat with delicate acid bass notes, while the likes of ‘No Asphalt’ and ‘More Effects’ come off like eerie renditions of space-aged glitch, deeply felt from the ground up.
