Colombian electronica of the highest order which, in the artist’s own words, rejects the notion of a single, Latin American musical identity. Verraco’s debut album is a bold, colourful and inventive statement of polyrhythmic beatmaking and lush atmospheres. Verraco takes cues from the well-known legends of this style, but makes it his own with subtle details and an outsider mentality. Elements of IDM, D&B, ambient and techno collide on Grial, often within the same track. Verraco continues his journey on his own label Insurgentes, getting deeper and more innovative with each release.
