Further Electronix go dark with sub-label Beyond Electronix and serve up a blend of pitch black, menacing amen breaks via DJ Jubilee 1997’s Voided Purpose EP. From the opening of our first side, the brain gets rattled by a zero-build, high-velocity junglist breakbeat right out the gate, swiftly followed by another propulsive beat seething with misted, reverb-laden pads ruminating in the backdrop. Side B extends this menacing path with bubbling tones and sly arps in preparation for a grand finale of whistling tones and yet another D&B golden era rhythm.
