Instra:Mental man Alex Green returns to his Boddika moniker for more grimy industrial techno chicanery. Walk Talk EP begins with the eerie opening track, a sly mix of 4/4 low-end and crawling synth reverberations, before moving into the bellowing bass and chilly pads of ‘Croak’. ‘808 (Hacked)’ flits from crisp ambience to fly-by rhythms, punctuated by behind-the-eyelid scrapes. ‘Metal Forest’ is arguably the simplest of the lot, turning an echoing beat into an unstoppable force.
