The rugged alt-dancehall bombardment of ‘Maria’ and ‘Ecstatica’ showcase the talents we’ve heard in the past from GAIKA, but this LP hits different from the opening bars of resplendent synth odes like ‘Of Saints’ and ‘Nine Nights’, his vocaliser delivery soaring above a tenderly measured march of technicoloured waveforms, further diversified by the presence of likeminded NAAFI affiliates like Tayhana, Omaar and Lao.
