Bristol’s Tectonic Records welcomes fellow city-dweller Lamont to the fold with the dubbed-out dubstep Hold Dat EP. Although Lamont lifts elements from a plethora of underground urban sonics — the spacious ambient house of ‘Push’ and its snipped vocal lines; the left-field dancehall rhythm of ‘Brain’; the dark, bouncy grime bass of the title track — there’s a strain of the producer’s singular style that threads through the lot.
