1/2 of Clouds drops his latest set of bass-heavy uptempo dance productions as Hamilton Scalpel. Those lucky enough to bag the eponymous Hamilton Scalpel EP when it emerged on Concrete Cabin back in 2019 will already know that this is a project which twists up the sounds of jungle, grime, sublow and other pirate styles in a manner similar to Basic Rhythm and Low End Activist. Hamilton Scalpel 2: Airfoil delivers these sounds once again, but there is a speaker-blowing glee to tracks like Eski-techno riddim ‘Cadzow Skrak’ and halcyon hardcore jam ‘Airfoil’ which sets them apart from the aforementioned artists.
