Dwight Thompson’s 1975 LP Hypocrisy, here reissued by Deeptrax Records offshoot ReGrooved, is a rare delight of mid-70s funk and soul. Tracks such as ‘My Woman Is Calling’ and ‘She Loves Me’ run with the sounds that Stevie Wonder was making at the time, while the squelchy feel of Hypocrisy’s title-track pushes it into Parliament-Funkadelic territory. One can also detect the early waves of disco in dancefloor-friendly highlight ‘What Is The Meaning’.

  1. Hypocrisy (3:04)
  2. What Is The Meaning (3:52)
  3. She Loves Me (3:59)
  4. You Dont Know Me (3:52)
  5. The Lover (2:48)
  6. Are You For Real (2:57)
  7. Man Oh Man (3:27)
  8. Love (3:03)
  9. Getting Old (4:45)
