More stern bassweight techno from Swamp 81 bossman Chunky on the Novella EP. These tracks pull off the trick of being at once sparse and yet still sounding full, the thick bass tones and knock of the drums nicely filling out in the monitors. The beats are reminiscent of artists like Parris and Nikki Nair, although Chunky’s production style has more street-level nous about it which invokes Swamp 81 alumni like Mickey Pearce.
