Mystic & Quantum Records welcome a new era for themselves —and indeed Spanish electronica in general — with a handful of acid cuts split into auditory districts, crafted by a host of enigmatic artists — or is it one single visionary? The label boasts of a high concept sci-fi premise for Lost Canvas 004, which carries throughout its sonic philosophy. ‘Lidvard District’ begins with a slow-burning one-two house build recalling Mr. Fingers as performed on an orbiting space station, while the likes of ‘FLX District’ and ‘Tysk Raider District’ amps up the bpm for some electro-twinged futurism right into the wily acid climbs of ‘Oxynucid District’.
