Like a particularly impressive centrepiece on a bounteous dining table, original cut ‘Sub Conscious’ got pride of place at the middle point of DJ and producer extraordinaire Erol Alkan’s FabricLive 77 compilation. Now, Phantasy Sound give the track its own disc release alongside some stellar remixes and alternative takes by Manfredas. The cult producer ups the bottom end to dub-sized proportions on his ‘Stream of Consciousness’ version, and injects his straight remix with a tasty bass line.
