With his left-field take on soul and R&B, French-Columbian multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano has been quietly influencing the tides of pop music since his 2014 release Bishouné: Alma del Huila. He continues to do so with Agüita, whilst partially reinventing his own sound. The title track alone demonstrates Garzón-Montano’s trap flow and showmanship, while tracks like ‘Tombs’ and ‘With A Smile’ show his pop sensitivity across vivacious and experimental production.
