The title of this EP bears testimony to the DJ/producer’s knack for surrealist surprises. Put Your Head Above The Parakeets is a surprising listen for HAAi fans beyond its apparent non-sequitur headline. Beginning with the slow-burning electronica of ‘Head Above The Parakeets’ and ‘Rotating In Unison’, we’re privy to a different kind of HAAi disc here; deconstructed techno hi hats and bass contracting in cold landscapes of pseudo-industrial synths, while still exuding the air of a forgotten or misremembered summer spent outside a festival tent.
