Having shied away from full-length releases since 2014’s The Rites of Wrong, Irish producer Jonny Dillon aka Automatic Tasty breaks his fantastic run of genre-pushing contemporary acid 12” and EPs with what may just turn out to be his opus. You’ll Never Work In This Town Again sees Automatic Tasty consolidate his singular experiments in acid into one delectable LP. He touches upon a host of subgenres along the way, including spacey deep house with the likes of ‘Thinking Of You’ and ‘Tarmac Under Ten Tonne Sky’, and driving, 808-punctuated electro with ‘Scaldy Fiver’ and honest to goodness weirdo techno with ‘Illegal Trousers (Tweed Limit)’.
