The brokntoys label deliver their latest set of dark and stormy electro numbers, in this instance an EP from Rotterdam’s Animistic Beliefs entitled Thief Of Sanity. One can clearly parse the influence of the darker end of Detroit on this record - we’re talking Underground Resistance and Drexciya. The tweaking tones of tracks such as ‘Toque Mortal’ also gives Thief Of Sanity a flavour similar to Animistic Beliefs’ Dutch compatriots Unit Moebius.
