Sufi Hispano-Pakistani presents the only surviving recordings of Aziz Balouch, a Pakistani man who settled in Spain in the 1930s and became a unique voice within the world of Flamenco, revising the style’s development to acknowledge South Asian and Sufi roots. These tracks date from 1962 and see Baloch alchemising deep, soulful songs from little more than his expressive voice and an acoustic guitar.
