Autotelia’s debut LP I is an album to file alongside Craven Faults’ Erratics and Unconformities as one of 2020’s finest updates of kosmische synth music. Like the Craven Faults album there is a brooding, beat-driven quality to many of these tracks - opener ‘First Flight’, for instance, swells and churns across eleven-and-a-half minutes. However, there is also a touch more psychedelia in the textures of I, something that has one thinking of artists like Forest Swords and Föllakzoid.
