Moscoman affiliates Red Axes push their brand of psychedelic mutant techno in a variety of directions on this eponymous LP. There is a hardness to many of the tones used here which gives these tracks a distinctly rock-inspired feel. Things that could well be distorted guitars periodically drop into the grooves. There’s also Screamadelica-era Primal Scream and Omar Souleyman’s Mad Decent drops floating around the wide reaches of Red Axes sound.
