SWIMS return with the first Robert Merlak solo release for 20 years. Gone are the soothing atmospheres of previous releases, and we’re a long way from the electronic stuttering of 2000’s Albumski. Finomehanika traces Merlak’s artistic evolution through the intervening years, demonstrating a newfound fascination with ghostly drones on ‘Obrazi, did drugi’ and ‘Bijeli VAZ’, swampy beats on ‘Pogled iz sobe’ and nearly-IDM on ‘Bilo jednostavno’.
