This new EP from Mike Ash is Maximum Power by name and Maximum Power by nature. Anyone familiar with Ash’s productions for labels like Super Rhythm Trax and Rising High Records will know that the hybridized throwback rave sound is one that comes effortlessly to him. Ash flexes those muscles here to create a trio of hardcore DJ tools which thread together influences from breakbeat, bleep techno and Bunker Records-style electro.
