Following up an archival deep dive into the work of Free Level aka the collaborative project of Greek composers George Theodorakis and Petros Skoutaris, Into The Light make a hugely fortuitous discovery. Left untouched for around two decades on a forgotten CD-R, Skoutaris’ Tropika offers an insight into the composer’s chameleon-like tastes, from flamenco-inspired new age and trip hop percussion to otherworldly funk and exotica.
