Melding the personal with political and garnering astute observations around consent, the body and pleasure, Shelley Parker and Peder Mannerfelt team up for Decouple ][ Series, a collaborative performance with dance artist and choreographer Fernanda Muñoz-Newsome for an embodied work of American minimalism. Parker opens with ‘Let The Body’ parts A - C, a micro-suite of sensual and percussive rhythms composed of bodily sounds, while Mannerfelt maps an uneasily driven rendition of Steve Reich’s ‘Music For Pieces of Wood’ on a Roland TR-909.
